AMBLYOPIA WITH RESPECT TO PARENTS AWARENESS AND PERCEPTIONS IN AL-JOUF REGION OF SAUDI ARABIA

Background/Objective: Amblyopia also known as lazy eye is an abnormal condition which associated with decrease in vision. Parents can play important role the management of amblyopia their children, if they have correct information regarding disease. The present study was conducted to check parents awareness and perception treatment, diagnosis, causes consequences Al-Jouf region Saudi Arabia. Methodology: A questionnairebased Arabia fulfill objectives study. total 429 aged between 19-45 years were included Out parents, 110 males 312 females. Data obtained analyzed both qualitatively percentages. Results: Majority participants opinion that there no treatment for 280 [66.4%], early leads better outcomes 369 [87.4%], be best treated at young age 326 [77.3%] worsens left untreated 324 [76.8%].
